Selected Chamber Works at Sellosali

The performance will take place in the Sellosali foyer: This space has an audience capacity limit of 130 people, and places will be allocated in order of arrival. Doors open at 6.20pm.
Special guest from Vienna, Matthias Maria Reissner (viola), and the young musicians of the Espoo Music Institute and Music Institute Juvenalia: Jarno Hänninen, Erika Suortti-Myyry, Maria Korkiakoski, Heji Liu, Seena Kuula, Anni Sipilä, Annika Granqvist, Joel Peltonen, Sampo Jurvanen, Di Gao, Yifan Wang, Elmeri Utriainen, Melina Nyberg, Jaakko Pirkola, Olga Niemi, Virva Mutikainen, Oula Angervo, Otso Kallio.
Programme includes works by Bach, Händel, Mozart, Schubert, Dvořák, Prokofjev, Linjama.
At 6.30pm “Säveltäjäkuvia” (“Pictures of Composers”); a performance by Professor of Piano Joonas Ahonen, Cologne University of Music and Dance. Performance introducing composers from different time periods. Please note: spoken in Finnish, no translation is provided.
7.30pm Concert: Performance featuring Viennese guests Barbara Moser (piano) and Anna Kandinskaya (violin), Finnish artist Sanna Saarinen (accordion) and the young musicians of Espoo: Oula Angervo, Eetu Pöyhönen, Nea Li, Melina Nyberg, Sam Cobb, Evelina Kuropatkina, Ben Cobb, Sameli Lehtoranta, Aaro Halminen.
Programme: Beethoven String Quartet in c minor Op.18/4: 1. movement Allegro ma non tanto, Mozart Piano Quartet in g minor KV 478, Astor Piazzolla Grand Tango, Václav Trojan Tarantella (1965), Johannes Brahms Hungarian Dance.

As always, the 15th Kamarihelmi Festival will be hosted in co-operation with the City of Espoo, Espoo Music Institute, Music Institute Juvenalia, Musikinstitutet Kungsvägen and the Austrian Embassy in Helsinki. Kamarihelmi has previously also been hosted as a joint project with the Sibelius Academy and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna’s Erasmus exchange programme; Espoon Musiikkifestivaalit Yhdistys ry has also contributed.
